In Costa Rica, the Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS) provides coverage from the fourth day of illness, while in Brazil, employees are covered by the Instituto Nacional do Seguro Social (INSS) after 15 days, with the employer responsible for the first 15 days of leave.
